I programmed this Hoberman Link Calculator in Java Script to assist people who may not have access to a CAD program and want to design and build expanding regular polygonal geometries. To use the Hoberman Link calculator, specify the desired number of sides in the polygon, and desired diameter of the geometry when fully expanded and the calculator will return the dimensions of the triangle formed by the pins of a single link. You can input any units for the desired diameter and the output will have the same units - meaning if you input inches you get out inches if you input meters you will get out meters. These dimensions can then be used to create the links out of any home crafting material (wood, glass, cardboard, plastic etc.) Since this calculator computes the link pin paths for a regular polygonal geometry all of the links have the same dimensions.
